What is the Shimm Score?
Every product gets a 0-100 Shimm Score based on rising demand (is the product gaining momentum?), competition level (how many creators are already promoting it?), and commission rate. High scores mean high opportunity: trending product, less competition, good commission.
Can I research products in bulk?
Yes. Shimm lets you upload up to 100 products at once and get scored results in minutes. Perfect for evaluating product lists from brand deals or promo emails.
How accurate is the scoring?
Shimm analyzes real-time data from Amazon's Product Advertising API: sales trends, pricing, reviews, and more. The score helps you prioritize products, but you should always validate commission rates and category fit before creating content.
What data sources does Shimm use?
Shimm uses Amazon's Product Advertising API (PA-API) to access real-time product data, sales rank trends, and marketplace signals.
Do I need PA-API access to use Shimm?
PA-API enrichment is available on the Pro plan and above. You'll need an Amazon Associates account with PA-API access, which typically requires at least 10 qualifying sales in the last 30 days. The free plan works without PA-API. See Amazon's PA-API access details at affiliate-program.amazon.com.
